Be proud of yourself.
Even if everything around you feels like it's falling apart, you must remember…you’re here.
You could have lost your job and have no clue how you're going to pay all of your bills BUT…you’re here.
You could be drowning in a sea of disappointment and regret thinking about some of the choices you made in your life BUT…you’re here.
You are here in this present moment.
You are breathing.
You are learning.
You are growing.
This is all that matters. A friend told me a beautiful quote the other day. He said, “As long as we’re here today, we can figure out tomorrow.” This really spoke to me because it was so simple. It didn't contain any secret formula to figure out life’s problems. It didn't involve assignments or “work” on yourself that you have to do….it was simple. You are here right now and as long as you are here…tomorrow will figure itself out.
It doesn't serve you to worry about things that are out of your control. It doesn't serve you to worry about tomorrow.
Life is hard, things happen, some bad, some good…this we know to be true. The truth is, life is going to happen whether you worry about it or not. However, when we redirect negative energy and we use it to find the good we can find gratitude for everything that IS in our lives.
We find the small things that we may have overlooked. We spend time with the people we love. We remember just how far we've come
Be proud of yourself. You’re still here after everything you've gone through. You are still here committed to living your life the best way you know how. That is an achievement that you should celebrate that daily.
You are here.
“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?
Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?"
